On April 8, Orel hosted the grand opening of the Russian Junior Championship in all-style karate.

At the sports arena TMK “Grinn” the audience was addressed by:
– President of the All-Style Karate Federation of Russia Ramil Gabbasov;
– Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Orel Region for Infrastructure Development, Lieutenant General Vladimir Ivanovsky.

Participants of the Russian Championship honored the memory of the athlete of the Russian national team in all-style karate, master of sports Nikolai Petrovich Kuzmenkov with a minute of silence. He died during a special operation to protect civilians from fascism and radical nationalism in Ukraine.
