Tokyo Olympics postponed to 2021 due to coronavirus

The president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach agreed with the proposal of the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe to move Games-2020 in Tokyo to next year.

Today Abe, Bach and head of the organizing committee of Games Yesiro Mori held a telephone conference where the issue of transfer of the Olympic Games due to the pandemic of coronavirus was discussed.

“I suggested that Mr. Bach postpone the Games for a year. He 100% agrees with me, “Abe said.
