JUNE 22 – DAY OF MEMORY AND SORROW

June 22, 1941 is one of the saddest dates in the history of Russia. On this day, the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) began, the liberation war of the peoples of the USSR against Nazi Germany and its allies, which is the most important and decisive part of World War II (1939-1945).

This day reminds of all those who died in battles, were tortured to death in fascist captivity, who died in the rear from hunger and deprivation.
